L-3 CyTerra has
developed a handheld device called VIPUR used for concealed
weapons detection. The device scans for the presence of
objects hidden underneath clothing using radar functionally
similar to current handheld metal detectors. The detector
is capable of detecting and locating potentially dangerous
concealed foreign objects including drugs, explosives, currency,
and weapons.
